VW to unveil Tesla Model X killer in Shanghai

Volkswagen Group pulls out all the stops in its electric offensive, which will include a large cross-over that takes on the Tesla Model X and a concept of which will be revealed during next week’s Shanghai Motor Show.

Indeed, it will join VW’s electric and autonomous I.D. sub brand line-up, the first model of which will launch in 2020. First up will be a Golf-sized hatchback, followed later by the production version of the remarkable Buzz van concept.

The all-wheel drive I.D. crossover is a mix between a four-door coupe and a SUV – just like the Skoda Vision E, which will also be presented in Shanghai.
