Up to 10% of UAE government fleets to be electric

The United Arab Emirates are launching a programme called Incentives for Using Electric Vehicles. As part of the drive, up to 10% of car fleets of federal ministries and agencies will be EVs.
The programme, launched by the UAE Ministry of Energy, will encourage drivers to buy zero-emissions EVs, among other measures by creating attractive insurance, registration and price conditions. It will also provide education for potential buyers into the benefits of EVs.
