Tesla sales dead in Hong Kong since April
Hong Kong’s decision to abolish incentives for electric vehicles has had disastrous effects on the sales of Tesla. In April, the Californian EV maker did not sell a single car. In May, just five Model S and Model X were delivered to private customers. By way of comparison: in March, nearly 3,000 new Teslas were registered, which was nearly twice as much as the year before. The reason for Hong Kong’s government to remove the tax break is increased congestion of privately owned vehicles.
