Massive works to boost Colombia fleet sales
Colombia is a mid-sized economy, but of South American country is of outsized interest to the fleet industry. This is due to the massive infrastructure programme it has initiated, writes Automotive Fleet.
The $70 billion programme looks set to lead to a giant increase in activity for construction and engineering companies, which as a result will see an equally sizeable expansion of their vehicle fleets, according to a report by PWC.
The report says that the stabilisation of most commodity prices and the increase of some others, coupled with the depreciation of the Colombian peso all point to further growth for the country's economy. The resultant expansion of Colombia's middle classes will provide an additional boost to automotive sales in the country.
