Kia to build Indian factory
Kia has announced that it wishes to make headway in the Indian market. To do this, it is investing over a billion dollars in a new factory in the country. Kia’s sister brand Hyundai already does very well on the Indian market.
The new factory will be in the south of the sub-continent in Andrha Pradesh province, and is scheduled to enter into production at the end of 2019. Annual production capacity is expected to be around 300,000 vehicles, and Kia is to build a compact sedan and an SUV. | 28/04/2017 | Tim Harrup
