First Lynk to debut at Shanghai in April

Alain Visser (pictured), Senior VP at Zhejiang Geely Holding Corp., has revealed that the company will unveil its first model for Lynk & Co at the Shanghai Auto Show this April.
The 01 compact crossover will be a hybrid, powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor. It will go on sale in China in Q4 2017 and in Europe and the U.S. in Q1 2019. Originally, Lynk was to debut in Europe and the U.S. in 2018.
The model will compete against the likes of the Nissan Qashqai. It and further Lynk models will feature advanced connectivity, provided by Alibaba, Ericsson and Microsoft. One eye-catching feature is a dashboard button that will allow drivers to rent out their vehicle to other users.
