Delphi joins BMW, Intel and Mobileye in autonomous-vehicle partnership

Delphi Automotive is joining BMW, Intel and Mobileye in their effort to develop and deploy self-driving vehicles by 2021. The company will serve as the group’s systems integrator for creating a platform that can be used for the self-driving projects of any manufacturer – not just BMW.

UK-based Delphi is one of the world's largest automotive parts manufacturers, with around 161,000 employees worldwide. Earlier this month, the company announced it would be spinning off its powertrain division into a separate entity, the better to be able to focus on connected and autonomous driving acquisitions, investments and partnerships.
