Chrysler offers lease vehicles for kids' rideshare service
Chrysler is partnering with Kango to allow drivers to lease Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans for ridesharing.
Kango is an on-demand ridesharing service for kids. Founded in San Francisco in 2015, it has 250 drivers. By the end of this year, it plans to start expanding across other metro areas in the U.S.
Kango will start extending the offer of leasing Chrysler minivans to its best drivers from this autumn. They will lease directly from Chrysler, at a preferred rate. The minivans may only be used for Kango rides.
The idea for leasing ride-share vehicles was born from a demand from the drivers on one hand, and from a desire to increase the amount of vehicles available for use on the other, Kango says.
