Peter Cooke is Professor of Automotive Management and head of Centre at the Centre for Automotive Management, University of Buckingham Business School; UK. This position involves industry based pragmatic research – fleet management, used vehicles, rental and leasing, writing plus teaching on university and professional programmes as well as managing department. Peter Cooke spent twenty years working in automotive industries, starting with Ford: fleet, international, oil, industry, marketing; high technology industry etc. in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. More recently he has spent twenty-three years as a business school academic, developing fleet finance management & finance programmes for use in several markets and also developing fleet management, finance and short term rental training programmes.

Peter Cooke is the author of ten books on fleet management in English and others in Polish and Russian, and he is currently working on a new book on Global Industry. He has lectured/consulted in over twenty countries and speaks regularly at conferences widely in UK, Europe and further afield. He writes a regular global industry economic review published on www.buckingham.ac.uk/cam. He also writes/edits the widely read annual UK and European Used Car Market Review as well as regular industry reports, analyses; many of these can be seen on the above website. Peter Cooke writes articles for range of UK, European and a North American magazines.
